Help shape the SWEN's new framework for supporting cultures of wellbeing…
As part of a new part of the SWEN that is emerging, we are planning to run two workshops in October and November to test out a new framework for supporting social impact organisations to distribute finite resources in the face of the infinite and often pressing needs presented by the polycrisis.
Specifically, the framework is a mixture of systems thinking and somatic approaches which aims to support organisations to distribute their resources with minimal harm (for example, burnout), and cultivate the conditions for positive impact (for example, creative, thoughtful and collaborative work).
We are looking for small groups of around 6 people at a time to join a 2-hour workshop to help test the framework, and how it can be applied in practice. We will also ask for participants’ feedback which will inform this new way of bringing the culture of the SWEN to more organisations and groups.
We are looking for a mixed group representing as many different perspectives as possible, with a common interest in cultures of wellbeing and shifting away from harmful systems within the environmental and social change movements.
The first workshop will be on Tuesday 22nd October from 1-3pm UK time, with another session to be confirmed in November. If you would like to attend but can’t make the first date, please do let us know.
Once the workshops have finished, our intention is to create a free and open regular online session to share the framework and apply it to specific situations that SWEN members (and those who would like to join) are experiencing.
Please register your interest below by Friday 11th October, telling us briefly why you would like to be involved and the perspective you bring, as much as you are comfortable to do so (for example, where you are in the world, the kind of work you do, and your ethnicity and gender).
